The backyard underground was conceived as a place for rebels away from the conformity of the regular pub scene. We worked on this 5000 sq ft basement property to create a space tuned to become a catalyst is creation of subcultures; in Music, Networking and Performing Arts. A busy tunnel of graffiti takes you to the underground to reveal a space that is warm and welcoming. The vibe has strong shades of mystery and re-affirmation of a counter culture in new thinking. Art and memorabilia pay homage to great thinkers and revolutionaries who in their own times were part of the "underground".
